My name is Annette Sophie Eberhardt, I am 58 years old. The start of my life was drastic when I was separated from my biological mother in a divorce at the age of two. I grew up with my father with my grandparents, and later with my bonus mom.

As an adult, I was reunited with my mother and looked after her for the last four years of her life before she died of illness last year.

Travel and life experience

My life has been full of experiences from traveling all over the world. I've lived in both Spain and the USA and met so many exciting people along the way.

Families

I have three grown children aged 23, 27 and 28. I have two marriages behind me, one of which was characterized by a narcissistic father role and spouse.
Breaking free took years of healing, acceptance and forgiveness. When I left, I was left with a fragile economy, lost many relationships and was without a job. I was living in a hotel with one of the kids while I figured out the next step.

Starting from scratch

Visualization was my salvation. I imagined us on the other side and made a detailed plan. The very next day, a former relation, a headhunter, called and asked if I was in the market for a job. Two days later, I had a job as an executive assistant to a female CEO of an American sales company.
Now I could create a secure base for my family and the rebuilding could begin. It took focus and willpower, but the kids and I have come through with our feet firmly planted on the ground, self-awareness and many life dreams, some of which have come true, while others are still waiting on the horizon.

My life today

Today, I'm in my seventh year living with my partner and our little dog just outside Copenhagen.

Why MindRise

As a single mother responsible for the well-being of my children, I have gained experience and education along the way through my personal process. I want to use that knowledge to help others when the hurricane hits. That's why I created MindRise.dk.
